To achieve the ITIL Expert Certification, you must earn 22 credits, including five from passing the managing across the Lifecycle exam. The number of credits earned for passing each certification exam is indicated below.

ITIL® Foundation Certificate (2 credits)

  • 1197 – Achieving ITIL Foundation Certification

ITIL® Lifecycle Modules (3 credits each)

  • 982 – ITIL Intermediate Qualification: Service Strategy
  • 993 – ITIL Intermediate Qualification: Service Design
  • 992 – ITIL Intermediate Qualification: Service Transition
  • 991 – ITIL Intermediate Qualification: Service Operation
  • 994 – ITIL Intermediate Qualification: Continual Service Improvement

ITIL® Capability Modules (4 credits each)

  • 995 – ITIL Intermediate Qualification: Operational Support and Analysis
  • 996 – ITIL Intermediate Qualification: Release, Control and Validation
  • 997 – ITIL Intermediate Qualification: Planning, Protection and Optimisation
  • 998 – ITIL Intermediate Qualification: Service Offerings and Agreements

Managing Across the Lifecycle (5 credits)

  • 983 – ITIL Managing Across the Lifecycle Qualification 17 credits are required to take the Managing Across the Lifecycle Examination
ITIL® Foundation – 2 days

In this exciting and dynamic course, you will get an introduction to the lifecycle of managing IT services to deliver to business expectations. Using an engaging case study, you’ll learn the core disciplines of ITIL best practices. Upon completing this course, you’ll be well positioned to successfully complete the associated ITIL exam required for entry into the future ITIL intermediate-level training courses.

ITIL® covers five core disciplines:

  • Service Design
  • Service Transition
  • Service Operation
  • Continual Service Improvement

These disciplines represent a service lifecycle framework that further enhances alignment to the business while demonstrating business value and ROI and enabling IT to solve specific operational needs.

This course includes handouts and references useful after the class, as well as practice sessions, quizzes, exam strategies, and test-taking tips. The one-hour ITIL Foundation exam will be offered on the last day of class.
